Dear Parent/Guardian,
It would be our pleasure to have your son/daughter/ward back with us at the commencement of the new session on 3rd August 2010. PHONICS is a distinctly different institution with many wonderful challenges and opportunities. The 2nd academic session starting this year is a milestone which is the result of years of hard work and commitment of our dedicated faculty, staff and students. Some of the feathers in our cap are :- |
- AICTE approval for all our academic programs.
- Organization of Uttarakhand Science Congress and several other national and international Conferences by PHONICS.
- Progressive improvement in University results and placements.
- Linkages with several International Universities/Institutes.
|
Excellence is a continual process and demands total commitment and dedication with 100% attendance in all classes. For all round professional development no student can afford to miss classes. We have, therefore, decided to make it mandatory for all students to register themselves at the institute on 03Aug.2010 with details of penalty as under :- |
| August 03, 2010 |
Registration |
| August 04, 2010 |
Late Registration Fine Rs.50/- per day |
| August 10, 2010 |
Student has to seek Re-admission (Re-admission charges Rs.500/-) |
|
It may be emphasized that a 100 % attendance is essential for academic excellence in professional education and a minimum of 75% class attendance is a must for permission to appear in the sessionals and the University examinations. Those failing to meet the minimum attendance requirements would not be permitted to appear in the sessional and university exams. |
| With a view to ensure safety and students discipline and promote positive academic ambience, we would continue to enforce the following in letter and spirit:- |
- Prohibiting the consumption and possession of liquor and other intoxicants.
- Banning of motorized vehicles from hostel premises.
- Banning of possessions/use of camera mobiles.
- Banning of ragging as per order of the honorable Supreme Court ( in accordance with the Supreme Court Ruling, Institute is required to file an FIR in all cases involving ragging.)
|
| We are looking forward to welcome our students with delight. I would like to take this opportunity to request you to join hands with us to strengthen the academic environment at PHONICS and ensure a brilliant future for our students. |
| Looking forward to your continuing support and co-operation, with best regards, Yours sincerely, |
(Dr.Harvir Singh)
